When asked what verse can defines his character, Brother Gary said the Christian life and ministry can be explained in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. In the Great Commandment, Matthew 22:37-39, we are told, “ And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” In the Great Commission, Mathew 28:19-20, Christ tells us “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Brother Gary loves the Lord and has a heart for people. He leads and encourages Westview to “go and make disciples.”
