“Step into His Presence so that we can Step out in His Power”
In unity, the church will pray together for the first 10 days of each month. We will pray for God to answer our specific prayers.
The purpose of the First 10 prayer is that the church would be unified in stepping into the presence of God so that they can step out in confidence in the Lord’s power. As we step out in God’s power we will advance the Kingdom of God.
Method:

Method:
- Pray for a specific topic each day for the First 10 days of each month. The whole church will be praying for this topic.
- Fast one meal every other day of the First 10 days of each month. Everyone fasts on the same day. Days 1,3,5,7,9
- Watch and observe how the Lord works in those prayers after the First 10.
- Give Him praise for the rest of the month and continue in daily prayers.
- Pray together on the first Sunday of each month in the Sunday morning service.

Day 1 Prayer & Fasting- What is Repentance?
God is calling His people to repent of their sins, but oftentimes people are really not sure what real repentance looks like. Repentance seems like a negative word, because there is a change that takes place, but it is a very positive word. However, its not just a word, it is a posture of our hearts. Pray for your God to show you what true repentance is and may our hearts be united in true repentance of any sin that we have committed against God. Day 2 Prayer- Oftentimes, we cannot see areas of our lives that are sinful and it takes others lovingly helping us to see those areas. Ask God to show you any blind spots in your life that you are not aware of that are sinful. That includes asking God to surround you with grace-filled people who will help you to see these areas.
Day 3 Prayer & Fasting- What is confession? 1 John 1:9
Confession is a big part of repentance. It is knowing what we have done that is not in line with God’s holiness and verbalizing that to Him. When we confess our sins we know that He hears them and forgives. Go to God today with any sins that need to be confessed. Receive His forgiveness.
Day 4 Prayer- Moving Forward
Yesterday you confessed sins that you have committed. Once you’ve confessed those sins in repentance, understand that you are confessing so that you can move forward in the path that God has designed for your life. It is difficult to turn away from your sin and even more difficult to walk away from it. However, that is what repentance is; daily walking away from our sin. Ask the Lord to help you continue to walk toward Him and away from your sin.
Day 5 Prayer & Fasting- The rear-view mirror effect. The closer you walk to Jesus, the further you walk from your sin. You will want to look in the rear-view mirror and see your sin behind you, but as you keep walking toward Jesus, you will realize that your sin is getting smaller and you are walking with Jesus. Soon your sin will be so far away that you will not see it. Ask God to help you keep walking with Jesus.
Day 6 Prayer- 2 Peter 3:9 God is not slow to fulfill His promises, but is patient toward you. He doesn’t want any to perish but wants all to reach repentance. God wants people to come to a point where their minds change direction and they want to follow Jesus. There are many people in your circle of influence who are in need of repentance to follow Jesus. It could be a co-worker you see that is headed down the wrong road, a prodigal you are watching head toward darkness, or someone even closer that is living a sinful life. Pray today for that person to repent and follow Jesus. Ask God for the opportunity to be a light to them. Be patient as the Lord works.
Day 7 Prayer & Fasting- 2 Chronicles 7:14-There is a humility that comes with repentance. People usually wont repent because they have too much pride in the direction they are going. They have decided that the path they are on is the one they chose and that they’ll have to work themselves out of that path. The only problem is that the pride that put them on that path is the same pride that will keep them there. Ask God for humility to trust Him to direct your paths and help you to walk new paths in this life that are pleasing to Him.
Day 8 Prayer- Haven of Repentance
A haven is a place of safety and refuge. When we have sinned, we oftentimes feel the weight of our sin and we feel the shame. Over time, if we don’t deal with that shame, it will cause us to walk away from the Lord. We need to know that we can go to God with any sin. He is our refuge when are facing anything, including our own sin. Ask the Lord to help you come to Him with anything so that your shame doesn’t weigh you down and cause you to turn your own way.
Day 9 Prayer & Fasting- Mark 1:15-Repent and Believe in the gospel
As you repent, you want to make sure that you confess something else that will lead you toward new life. Confess the gospel over your life. Remember that none of us were worthy of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and yet He died for us anyway. He arose from the grave after 3 days to show His power over sin and death. This should encourage us to continue to run to Him. Ask the Lord today to help you remember the gospel and focus on that for how you deal with everything in your life.
Day 10 Prayer- Joel 2:12-13
The Lord is calling His people to return to Him. This is not just an outward turning that seems to be real, but a true turning where God’s people return to Him. Joel says, to “return with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” There is a grief over our sin that it has caused a separation between us and God. Repent and know that God is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. Know that when you repent and return to God, you will find blessing. Ask the Lord to help you return to Him and continue following Him as your Lord and Savior.
